Megadeth - 13

A lot of action in the Megadeth camp in the last two years.  Rust In Peace Live (recorded for both CD and DVD), celebrating the 20th anniversary of Rust In Peace and featuring the album in it's entirety and original sequence. This also marked the return of David Ellefson to the line up.  Dave and the boys from Metallica kissed and made up with the Big 4 tour that also included Slayer and Anthrax on the bill.  In my opinion, Megadeth blew the doors off the other three.  And now, the release of the 13th studio album, aptly named 13 (spelled TH1RT3EN).  After several listens, this is a solid effort from the band.  Typical Mustaine whiny voice, and as expected, killer guitar rifts and solos from both Dave and Chris Broderick (although I prefer Al Pitrelli's playing).  For the $.99 Amazon buyers, Public Enemy No. 1 and Wrecker are my picks.  The lyrics in Wrecker lead me to believe that Dave is not married anymore.  4 out of 5 stars, but what do I know?  I liked Risk.  \m/
